A Walk Down Candy Lane
So the last few days saw a return to normalcy in terms of actually having to GO to school, instead of sleeping late and seeing cool places, though I did some good sightseeing this weekend.

Oooooh - I get to be first this time! I am really enjoying all your descriptions of your travels. I can just picture the Kurasawa-type character - that's what I so love about his films - those faces. As I read your blog, I am reminded of a book someone gave me called, "The Japanese Inn" (I think...). It's an American (!) who travels around to Japan, staying - you guessed it - in old inns. He describes each one during a different century - I hardly do it justice here, but you might enjoy it. Anywayzzz - I always thought I would like to see Japan, and your blog just confirms that! TTFN. You are cool...really cool. Your stories about your wandering around t he countryside are very entertaining, and they make me want to visit Japan soon...with you as my guide. I really look forwsrd to reading them. Keem the m coming. GrandPa
What passes for candy here is also pretty odd as a general rule, though you can get some Western-style stuff too. People really love piro-amilo (spicy-sour), which is just a bag of red pepper slime with something in it to make it sour too. It's not bad, but it ain't candy!
Also, I disagree with Andrew. Good old-fashioned ADD is the way to be.

heh. freshman pit.
first of all, i'm extremely impressed at the amount of stuff you've done- it seems like you're really taking advantage of everything.
are the kids completely attached to you? they must think you're the coolest dude ever.
also, thinking about a long street with nothing but candy for sale (albeit strange candy) made me inexplicably happy. honestly, i don't know what I could want more...
i miss you, and look forward to more posts!
